I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and work for the location-based entertainment company Meow Wolf. I also provide consulting and contract work under my own company Seventh Standard. My professional focus is on DevOps and Linux system administration, although I also do work in security and technical writing/instruction. I am knowledgeable in the area of telecom although it's more of a hobby than a business - which says a lot about me.
My main personal interests are in the history of communications technology (particularly in the Cold War era), environmental contamination and remediation, and the local history of land use and development in general.
I hold an MS in Information Assurance from Iowa State University, and a BS in Information Technology from New Mexico Tech. At various points I have held certifications including CompTIA Security+, GCIA, GCFA, Puppet Certified Professional, Certified Scrum Master, and SAFe Certified Product Owner/Product Manager, although I usually do not bother to renew them after they are no longer required for my work.
